Printmaking
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Drawing I (Regular or Honors) with a grade of “C” or better recommended
This course introduces students to the production of multiple images from an original source. Students will work with a variety of distinctive printmaking materials including linoleum and plastic plates, carving and etching tools, inks, and papers. Techniques may include Relief: single and reduction, Intaglio: soft ground, etching and embossing, Monoprint, Collagraph and Screen-printing. Students will work with several registration techniques while using hand-press techniques and a printing press.
